Role: Python and AWS Developer

Location: Canada, Remote

Duration: 6-12 Months of contract with possible extension

Primary Skills:

A Python & AWS Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud-native applications using Python and AWS services. The role involves building APIs and backend solutions, automating deployments, and ensuring application performance, security, and reliability in a cloud workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Python and AWS Cloud Services.
- Build and enhance cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Implement microservices and serverless architectures to support business requirements.
- Create, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker.
- Monitor application health, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize cloud resource utilization.
- Ensure application security through AWS best practices, encryption, IAM policies, and compliance standards.




- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and Agile ceremonies.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and development teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.

- Experience with testing frameworks and automated testing
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

- Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Kubernetes/EKS
- AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
