This position is a new role responsible for overseeing multiple large-scope construction projects and teams. Tasks include project engineering, collaboration with Operations, and on-site management.

Salary Range: $145,000.00 - $160,000.00 CAD annualized

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities

- Manage multiple projects and serve as a resource to Operations teams, offering engineering and project engineering insight, direction, and support.
- Perform constructability reviews during Preconstruction and prepare estimates with the Preconstruction team for multiple assigned projects.
- Participate in project tenders, bid levelling, scope reviews, and award meetings.
- Oversee execution of multiple client contracts.
- Attend Operational Review Meetings (ORM) and Owner Architect Contractor (OAC) meetings for assigned projects.
- Engage and communicate with Architects and Engineers on industry topics and project impacts.
- Review assigned projects’ Project Execution Plan and Quality Control (QC) Plans.
- Actively participate in each project’s start‑up and maintain an overview of project procedures throughout the project.
- Attend and actively participate in project staff resourcing meetings.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, ethics, and compliance requirements at all times.
- Conduct weekly reviews and adherence of Project Schedule for assigned projects.
- Review project forecasting and attend Turner Forecasting System (TFS) meetings with project teams for each assigned project.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to assigned projects and attend jobsite meetings to assist with risk management.




- Manage QC inspections to ensure installations comply with contract documents and approved shop drawings.
- Monitor and assist in development, training, and evaluation of project staff across projects.
- Remain current on Turner’s value‑add services and manage job‑site rollout of new technologies throughout assigned projects.
- Collect best practices and formats for procedures or methods (e.g., scheduling, budgeting, QC Plans) from jobsite visits and share across projects.
- Foster open exchange of information and lead meetings on operational excellence, budgeting, QC, challenges, lessons learned, and lean initiatives.
- Focus on continuous improvement of procedures manuals and expand current content where needed.
- Ensure each project maintains up‑to‑date Launch and Closeout Boards; review closeout procedures and present status during meetings.
- Lead creation of detailed project checklists emphasizing risk management.
- Take lead of off‑site document storage and retrieval for each assigned project.
- Attend conferences and industry seminars to gather information on new technologies and systems.
- Conduct performance and development discussions with direct reports and provide related documentation.
- Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Engineering or Architecture program; minimum 8 years of building construction experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering principles, and basic understanding of Turner accounting procedures.




- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, installation procedures, and tolerances.
- Management and leadership experience.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Understanding of continuous improvement methods and tools.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical capabilities; familiar with lean culture and concepts.
- Advanced project management skills; able to manage concurrent projects and prioritize responsibilities.
- Approachable and able to interact effectively with all employee levels and management.
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Suite applications.

Physical Demands

The employee frequently sits, uses hands, and works with tools or controls; reaches, talks, and hears. The employee frequently views a computer monitor and uses a keyboard. Specific vision abilities required include close, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The employee is regularly required to be mobile and occasionally travels short and long distances. The employee regularly performs work on‑site at construction sites and occasionally at office locations or off‑site venues. The employee must regularly lift or move up to 4.5 kg and occasionally up to 23 kg.

Work Environment

The employee occasionally works in an office or remote setting with quiet to moderate noise. The employee regularly works at construction sites where exposure to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, weather conditions, and electrical shock risk occurs. Noise is usually moderate to loud. The employee must comply with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
