Rate: $65-75/hr Incorporated | $53-61/hr T4 Term

Our client, BC Hydro , is seeking Construction Technologists to support construction projects throughout the Northern Interior of British Columbia.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a construction, utility, or skilled trades background who have progressed into project coordination or project management.

Responsibilities

- Support the planning, estimating, scheduling, and coordination of construction projects.
- Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, schedules, and project documentation.
- Coordinate field activities and support construction crews.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules.
- Support procurement activities and contractor coordination.
- Conduct site visits throughout the Northern Interior as required.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction and/or project management, either in the field or office.
- Diploma of Technology, degree in a construction‑related discipline,



or a recognized trade qualification such as Electrician, Millwright, Power Line Technician, Winder, or General Trades.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and access to a personal vehicle.
- Experience in utility, transmission, distribution, substation, generation, heavy industrial, or large infrastructure projects is considered a strong asset.
- Solid knowledge of construction estimating, scheduling, and project coordination.

Work Arrangement

- Full-time onsite in the Prince George office for the first six months.
- Regular site visits throughout Northern BC.
- Potential to transition to a hybrid schedule (1-2 remote days per week) after six months.
