Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), where you will play a vital role in supporting patient recovery and well-being. In this energetic position, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist with patient care, and ensure smooth clinical operations. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide direct patient care, including helping patients perform exercises and mobility activities safely.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the supervising therapist for adjustments.
- Prepare treatment areas, ensure equipment is sanitized, and maintain a clean clinical setting.
- Educate patients on exercises, stretches, and therapeutic activities to promote recovery outside of sessions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes,
and medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support medication administration under supervision when applicable and ensure proper handling of medical supplies.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferrered
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare team members and educate patients.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) required; ongoing education in healthcare is advantageous.
- Passion for patient care, empathy, and a proactive attitude towards supporting recovery journeys.
