Job Title: QA Lead (with Automation Expertise)

Location: Remote(Canada)

Duration: 6 Months with posiblity of extention

Reports To: Delivery Manager

Role Overview The QA Manager will lead the Quality Assurance team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role emphasizes test automation strategy and implementation while managing manual testing efforts as needed . The ideal candidate will have solid leadership skills, deep knowledge of QA methodologies, and hands-on experience with automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

- Leadership & Strategy
- Define and implement QA strategy, standards, and best practices across projects.
- Manage and mentor QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to align QA processes with business goals.

- Automation
- Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications.
- Drive automation coverage for regression, smoke, and performance testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.

- Quality Assurance
- Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting for functional, integration, and system testing.




- Ensure defect tracking and root cause analysis are performed effectively.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure quality and team performance.
- Tools & Technologies
- Hands-on experience with tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, JMeter, and API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Qualifications

- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of QA experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in test automation frameworks and scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Shift-Left Testing and early QA involvement in SDLC.
- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing practices.
- Familiarity with AI-based testing tools and automation accelerators
