Position Summary The Quality Control Associate is responsible for ensuring all incoming and outgoing products meet Pratts Food Service quality and food safety standards. This role involves inspecting products, monitoring storage conditions, identifying quality concerns, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure customers receive safe, high-quality products.

Responsibilities

- Inspect incoming shipments for quality, temperature, damage, and product condition.
- Verify product dates, packaging integrity, and labeling compliance.
- Monitor inventory for damaged, expired, or compromised products.
- Conduct routine quality inspections throughout dry, cooler, and freezer warehouse areas.
- Ensure proper product rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- Identify and segregate products that do not meet company quality standards.
- Complete quality inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
- Work closely with Receiving, Shipping, Inventory Control, and Purchasing teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support product recalls, holds,



and food safety investigations when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection areas.
- Follow all CFIA, HACCP, GMP, and company food safety procedures.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required.

Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or quality control experience preferred.
- Experience in the food distribution or food manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of food safety principles, HACCP, GMPs, or CFIA requirements is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Comfortable using computers and handheld scanners.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
