Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and safety standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing projects
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and install plumbing components efficiently
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections on plumbing systems to identify issues early and prevent future failures
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate plumbing installations within larger building projects
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for installation or repair work in various settings
- Document work performed through detailed reports and logs for project tracking and quality assurance
Skills
- Extensive mechanical knowledge with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and general maintenance practices
- Proven experience in construction environments with a focus on plumbing installation and repair
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide precise work
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other assembly tools safely and effectively
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting complex systems
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques relevant to plumbing installations in diverse building structures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex tasks
