Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires effective communication skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with parents and staff to support the developmental needs of each child.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children.

- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.

- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.

- Assess children's progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs, including those of children with disabilities or special educational needs.

- Maintain accurate records of children's development and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Organize classroom activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

- Utilize computer skills for administrative tasks such as lesson planning, record keeping, and communication with parents.





- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.

Experience

- Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education is required.

- Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential; prior classroom experience is highly valued.

- Bilingual candidates (English/French) are encouraged to apply as language skills can enhance communication with families.

- Robust organizational skills and time management abilities are necessary for effective classroom management.

- Leadership experience in an educational context is a plus, particularly in guiding assistants or volunteers.

- Proficiency in writing skills for documentation purposes is important for maintaining clear communication with parents and staff.
