Mallard Medical Clinic is a modern family medicine practice dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. We are expanding our preventive health services and are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead our PAP Smear Clinic.

Responsibilities

- Perform cervical cancer screening (Pap tests) according to Ontario guidelines.
- Obtain relevant medical and gynecological histories.
- Educate patients about cervical cancer screening, HPV testing, and follow-up recommendations.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure proper infection prevention and control practices.
- Collect, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory processing.
- Document assessments and procedures accurately in OSCAR EMR.
- Assist the physician with women’s health services when required.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with PHIPA regulations.
- Promote a welcoming, respectful, and patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Current CPR certification.




- Previous experience performing Pap smears independently is required .
- Experience in family medicine, primary care, or women’s health is strongly preferred.
- Experience using OSCAR EMR is considered a robust asset.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Schedule

- Part-time.
- Flexible weekday and/or weekend hours.
- One or more dedicated PAP clinic sessions per week, with the opportunity for additional hours as the clinic grows.
