Casual/Part time Hepatology Clinic Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Hepatology team in a casual, part-time role with competitive compensation. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic outpatient setting, supporting patients with liver disease while contributing to the smooth operation of a busy specialty clinic.

The successful candidate will have direct patient contact, coordinating clinic flow, and providing compassionate, professional support to patients throughout their visits. Administrative responsibilities include scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, coordinating referrals, and answering patient inquiries.

Occasional travel to satellite liver clinics within the region is required to support outreach services and ensure continuity of care across multiple locations.

Ideal candidates will have a background in direct ambulatory patient care, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Experience in a specialty clinic or medical office is considered an asset but is not required.

Duties





- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, medical history collection, and preparing patients for examinations / procedures.
- Support medication administration
- Operate computer systems for patient records management using local EMR.
- Communicate clearly with patients and team members to coordinate appointments, follow-up care, and educational information
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and ensuring their comfort throughout visits
- Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up reminders

Qualifications

- Proven experience in clinical care settings
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and nursing practices related to hepatology or liver health
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times
