Role Description This full-time, on-site Registered Ultrasound Technician role is based at Medpoint Health Care Centre in London, ON.

The Ultrasound

Technician will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal studies, in accordance with established medical and radiology protocols.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, operating ultrasound equipment, capturing high-quality images, and collaborating with physicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.



The role also involves maintaining detailed and accurate documentation, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and adhering to infection control and equipment maintenance standards. The technician will work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting the centre’s focus on preventative and executive health care.

Qualifications

Robust foundation in Medicine and Radiology, with practical experience in diagnostic imaging settings.

Proficiency in Abdominal ultrasound examinations, including imaging of organs and soft tissues within the abdominal cavity.

Diploma or degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

Current registration, licensure, or certification as required by provincial and national regulatory bodies.

Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to interpret and capture clinically relevant images.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient-centered, non-discriminatory care.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and manage a steady patient caseload.

Previous experience in an executive or preventative health care setting is an asset.
