The Opportunity:

Our client is seeking an experienced Production Coordinator with exceptional attention to detail, strong systems knowledge, and a proven ability to keep a fast-moving residential construction program on track.

As the Production Coordinator, you will be the operational engine behind every home built. You will own the production side of the build process within Newstar—from model setup and takeoffs to purchase orders, variance purchase orders, draw verifications, and trade coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on building efficient systems, managing details, and ensuring production schedules stay on track.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Set up new models, room measurements, sales information, and takeoffs in Newstar to support new lots and community releases.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Newstar product library, including standard specifications, upgrades, and option pricing.
- Process and issue purchase orders within Newstar, ensuring all amounts align with contracts, budgets, and approved pricing.
- Issue and reconcile variance purchase orders while maintaining accurate documentation and coding.
- Verify trade draw payments against issued purchase orders and contracted scopes before payment approval.
- Review colour selections and upgrade charts, validating pricing against contracts and the Newstar product library.
- Partner closely with Site Supervisors and trade partners to ensure schedules, scopes, and budgets remain aligned.
- Provide day-to-day support to trade partners by responding to inquiries and helping resolve production-related issues.
- Assist trade partners with navigating Newstar, company processes, and document workflows.




- Coordinate utility notifications for homeowner closings and manage homeowner information handoffs at key milestones.
- Maintain accurate trade and site contact information within Newstar.
- Support the Production Manager with reporting, data maintenance, system updates, and production improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate custom option pricing by obtaining trade quotations, reviewing costs with the Production Manager, applying appropriate markups, and ensuring pricing is delivered to the Décor Consultant in a timely manner.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential construction, production coordination, purchasing, or a similar operations-focused role.
- College diploma or university degree.
- Previous Newstar experience is highly preferred, particularly with takeoffs, purchase orders, product libraries, and variance purchase orders. Candidates without direct Newstar experience must demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems.
- Newstar serves as the backbone of the production process, so proven experience using Newstar—or the demonstrated ability to learn and master complex systems quickly—is essential for success in this role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to produce highly accurate work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with office staff, site teams, and trade partners.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production workplace.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.

Compensation Range: $75,000- $80,000
