About Us

Wallace Mercantile Shop is an independent boutique fashion retailer based in Vancouver. We carry a thoughtfully curated selection of apparel and serve customers both in-store and online. We're a small, owner-operated shop, which means every team member has a real impact on the customer experience and the day-to-day rhythm of the store.

The Role

We're looking for a friendly, reliable Sales Associate to join us on weekends. This is a part-time position with regular Saturday and Sunday shifts, plus the opportunity to pick up additional weekday shifts as they become available — ideal if you're looking for consistent weekend work with room to grow your hours.

What You'll Do

- Welcome customers and provide genuine, knowledgeable service on the sales floor
- Help customers find the right fit, style, and product for their needs
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges at the till
- Keep the store looking its best — restocking, folding, steaming, and maintaining displays




- Assist with receiving inventory and preparing online orders when needed
- Open and/or close the store as you gain experience

What We're Looking For
- Available every Saturday and Sunday, with flexibility to occasionally take on weekday shifts
- A warm, approachable manner and genuine interest in helping people
- Interest in fashion, styling, or retail (experience is an asset, but attitude matters more)
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
- Comfortable using a point-of-sale system, or a quick learner

Details
- Position: Part-time, permanent
- Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, with optional additional shifts
- Wage: $18.25–$21.00/hour, depending on experience
