Salary and Advantages: $40.97 - $47.93 - According to education and experience. Includes tool and safety equipment allowance.
Inspections of all Division PAA shops for safe operation of equipment and clean air in shop environment
Recognize required construction maintenance and complete if necessary
Inspections of National Building Code, Part 9 buildings for compliancy
Regular inspections of playground equipment at all 20 schools
Inspections, replacement, recharging of fire extinguishers
Recognize and correct OH&S; violations with facility employees
Maintain administrative procedures as per Board directives
Extensive travel throughout the division which includes 20 schools and 203 residential units The ideal candidate will have:
Journeyperson Carpenter or post-secondary certificate/diploma & equivalent experience in the Carpentry trade
Certificate in Science lab safety, Manlift, MSDS & Fire alarm and safety systems training an asset
Knowledge and expertise of Occupational Health & Safety regulations
First Aid & CPR training
