Hope you are doing Excellent. We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support a critical regulatory compliance initiative focused on automating New York State (NYS) employment tax compliance processes.

Analyst (BSA) – SAP Payroll / Tax Compliance

Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (4 Days WFO)

Contract: 6–12 Months The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP US Payroll, BSI Tax Factory, tax compliance, payroll withholding, requirements analysis, and multi-system integrations. Key Responsibilities

- Gather and document functional and technical requirements from Payroll, Global Mobility, Concur, Finance, EY, and other stakeholders.
- Analyze current-state processes and identify gaps related to NYS wage withholding, nonresident taxation, travel, relocation, remote work, and trailing compensation.
- Analyze SAP US Payroll configuration and identify gaps related to NYS tax withholding calculations.
- Document compensation data flows, wage types, vesting periods, tax sourcing logic, and data mapping requirements.




- Define requirements for badge swipe/location data and actual NYS workday tracking.
- Translate NYS tax and regulatory requirements into detailed system and process specifications.
- Define data validation, reconciliation, SLAs, processing schedules, and year-end close requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and requirements validation sessions.
- Partner with Solution Architects, Payroll, Global Mobility, IT, Finance, and external tax/compliance teams.
- Ensure requirements are complete, aligned, and audit-defensible.

Required

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in financial services or a regulated environment.

Strong expertise in SAP US Payroll and BSI Tax Factory.

Knowledge of payroll tax withholding, wage allocation, tax sourcing, and multi-state compliance.

Experience with tax compliance systems and processes.

Strong experience documenting system integration requirements and data flows. Regards
