TekStaff's Client has a current vacancy for a Scala Developer.

Contract Duration: 12 months

Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (4 days/week)

Role Summary:

The Scala Spark Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data processing solutions to support Liquidity MRA reporting, analytics, and data quality controls.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, unit test and optimize data pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark.

Implement transformations, aggregations, and calculations required for liquidity reporting.

Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of large-scale data processing jobs.

Integrate data from multiple source systems (e.g., transactional, risk, financial data).

Apply data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling mechanisms.

Support deployment, code reviews, and production issue resolution.

Adhere to The banks SDLC enterprise development standards, security, and governance policies.

MUST-HAVE Hard Skills:

Scala Spark developer experience – at least 5 years

SOFT SKILLS:
