FALHER REGIONAL RECREATION COMPLEX

ASSISTANT CARETAKER The Assistant Caretaker is a seasonal position at the Falher Regional Recreation Complex, running from late August through mid-to-late March. This role requires availability primarily during evenings and weekends, with up to 20 hours per week.

Reporting to the Full time Recreation Complex Caretaker and the Director of Community Services, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with the installation and removal of the hockey ice surface

· Operate ice resurfacing equipment (Zamboni)

· Perform skate sharpening services

· Carry out general janitorial and cleaning duties throughout the facility

· Ensure all entrances are kept clear of snow and debris

· Report patron concerns or facility issues to the supervisor





· Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, working on the ice surface, and operating equipment

· Complete other duties as assigned within the scope of training and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

· Standard First Aid with CPR-C and AED certification

· WHMIS certification

· Class 5 driver’s licence
