We are looking for Senior Android Developers to join a client project with one of the largest financial institutions in Canada. You will have the chance to modernize and enhance one of the country’s most successful banking applications.

This is a hybrid role (4 days in office, 1 day work from home) .

About The Opportunity

- Develop solutions to complex problems using frameworks and design patterns
- Collect and analyze requirements and suggest optimal approaches
- Write and test code, keeping non-functional requirements in mind
- Collaborate within an agile team and follow scrum best practices
- Review existing code for feasibility and maintainability
- Perform impact analysis for system changes or issues
- Provide recommendations to influence product decisions
- Stay up to date with the latest Android platform capabilities
- Communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders




- Conduct peer code reviews and ensure coding standards
- Mentor junior developers in Android and software engineering best practices

What You Need Must-Have Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in native Android development and 3+ years in Java
- Strong understanding of OOP, Android architecture, and design patterns
- Experience with Android libraries and RESTful APIs
- Proficiency in automated testing (JUnit, Robolectric, Espresso)
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Nice-To-Have Skills

- Experience with Kotlin
- Knowledge of modern Android SDK components
- Strong understanding of MVVM and design patterns
- Familiarity with OAuth and OpenID
- Experience with Android Keystore and mobile security
- Awareness of accessibility best practices
