Position: Senior Business System Analyst (Payments Project Experience)

Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid Role)

Duration: Long Term Contract role Required Skills:

Must have 8+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst /Business System Analyst in Canadian banks.

Gather requirements from multiple non-technical business and operations stakeholders

Create process maps (as-is and to-be) and gap analysis

Strong hands-on knowledge of ISO 20022 payments message categories and structures (pacs, pain, camt, acmt).

Experience on payments systems such as Wires, SWIFT, RTP, ACH, Cross-Border payments, or Real-Time payments.

Strong expertise in mapping payments data between legacy formats (MT101, MT103, MT199 etc.) and ISO 20022 message schema.

Experience creating BRD, FRD, Interface Specifications, Data Mapping documents, and traceability matrices.





Solid understanding of payments lifecycle—initiation, authorization, settlement, returns, and reconciliation.

Experience working with XML formats, schemas, and payment validation rules.

Ability to collaborate with technology teams and functional SMEs, clarify ambiguities, and drive resolution.
