As a Senior Tools Engineer, you will report to the Lead Tools Engineer and own the development of asset pipeline tools for Apex Legends.
You will design and improve systems that support content creation, packaging, and delivery. You will partner with engine, rendering, and content teams to streamline workflows, improve reliability, and enable teams to build high‑quality player experiences efficiently. Design and maintain asset pipeline tools and core systems Build scalable solutions for asset compilation and packaging Collaborate with engine, rendering, and content teams Resolve toolchain issues and manage technical debt Implement automated testing and continuous integration Mentor engineers through reviews and technical guidance 8+ years developing tools or engine systems for games Strong C++ experience in production environments Experience building or supporting asset pipelines Familiarity with asset compilation and packaging systems Experience working with large codebases and pipelines Understanding of game engine architecture and editor workflows Experience improving performance and reliability of tools The ranges listed below represent the expected compensation for this role in specific locations at the time of posting.
British
Columbia (Vancouver): $141,400 – $204,400 CAD In the United States, the package includes paid time off (3 weeks to start), 80 hours of sick time, 16 paid company holidays, 10 weeks of paid parental leave, health/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k). Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. In Canada, benefits include vacation (3 weeks to start), 10 days of sick time, paid EI/QPIP top‑up for new children (12 weeks maternity, 4 weeks parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, and a retirement plan.
Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
