Position Summary

Psiphon is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Marketing & Growth to lead the marketing strategy and execution for our global consumer VPN products, with a focus on our commercial user base.

Reporting to the Director, Product & Growth, you will be responsible for marketing strategy, growth initiatives, budget management, and performance reporting while working closely with Engineering, Product, Design, and Insights & Analytics. You'll play a key role in shaping how Psiphon reaches and engages users around the world while continuing to evolve our marketing capabilities as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Growth

- Own Psiphon VPN's marketing strategy for a global audience with varied user needs
- Plan and execute growth initiatives across paid acquisition, content, app store marketing, and partnerships
- Develop go-to-market plans for product launches and major releases
- Drive improvements in acquisition, engagement, retention, and conversion

Budget & Performance

- Own and allocate the marketing budget across channels and initiatives
- Partner with Insights & Analytics to build attribution, reporting frameworks, and dashboards
- Analyze performance, balancing measurable outcomes with judgment where attribution is limited
- Report performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership

Cross-Functional Partnership

- Work closely with Engineering, Product, Design, and Project teams to keep marketing aligned with product strategy and priorities




- Support the product lifecycle from launches through ongoing growth
- Coordinate external agencies, vendors, and marketing partners as needed

Brand & Function Building

- Own Psiphon's presence on the Apple App Store and Google Play, including ASO
- Monitor brand reputation across app stores, social media, and VPN review sites
- Help build the processes and reporting structures of a growing marketing function

Qualifications

Required

- 7+ years of progressive marketing experience with real ownership of strategy, execution, and budget
- Experience leading paid acquisition or growth marketing for a consumer app, digital product, or subscription service
- Comfortable managing and being accountable for a significant marketing budget
- Strong grasp of marketing analytics and attribution, with the judgment to know what's measurable vs. inferred
- Proven track record partnering with Engineering, Product, and Design teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including with non-marketing stakeholders
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with evolving priorities
- Based in the GTA or willing to relocate; must be able to work in-office 3+ days/week

Nice to Have

- Experience marketing across multiple international markets
- Experience with VPN, cybersecurity, privacy, or digital rights products
- Familiarity with App Store Connect and Google Play Console
- Interest in internet freedom, privacy, or digital human rights

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $100,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
