As the Senior Manager, Retail Brand Marketing, you will play a critical role in shaping how our brand shows up in stores around the world. You are a strategic leader who blends brand vision with operational excellence, elevating the in‑store experience, driving business performance, and guiding a high‑performing team.
You are deeply passionate about retail, fluent in brand expression, and skilled at creating scalable, global solutions that support both brand stores and mountain stores across diverse markets. You bring sound judgment, strong cross‑functional relationships, and the ability to move seamlessly between long‑term strategy and daily execution.
This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work or remote Canada with travel to North Vancouver, BC. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Meet Your Future Team
The Retail Brand Marketing team builds and delivers strategic retail marketing plans that ensure Arc’teryx stores reflect our brand values, product leadership, and mountain DNA. We collaborate closely with merchandising, retail operations, store design, visual merchandising, and global brand teams to deliver innovative, consistent, and elevated retail experiences.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the development of North American retail brand marketing strategies that strengthen brand presence, elevate storytelling, and support revenue and traffic goals.
- Drive strategic decision‑making for in‑store marketing, seasonal storytelling, and the integration of global brand campaigns into retail environments.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of compelling in‑store marketing, including visual communication, signage, and retail storytelling.
- Partner with Store Design and Visual Merchandising to ensure a cohesive and elevated brand experience across new store openings, remodels, and brand stores.
- Serve as the primary strategic liaison to merchandising, retail operations, store design, VM, global brand, and regional retail teams.
- Lead alignment across cross‑functional partners to ensure seamless execution of retail marketing initiatives in the region.
- Provide expertise and consultation on retail brand strategy for new store openings, brand stores, and mountain stores.
- Oversee the retail marketing calendar and ensure consistent communication with global and regional partners.
- Manage the retail brand marketing budget to support new store openings and brand presence across stores.
- Drive end‑to‑end briefing, prioritization, and project tracking across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Identify risks, remove roadblocks, and guide teams toward timely, effective, and brand‑led solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of retail brand marketing managers and specialists, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration.
- Build capabilities within the team for strategic thinking, brand storytelling, and operational excellence.
Future Projects
- Define and implement a cohesive scent and sound strategy that enhances brand immersion, reinforces emotional connection, and elevates the overall retail workplace across all store formats in NAM.
- Evolve the approach to campaign execution within retail by strengthening storytelling, improving asset deployment, and ensuring seamless integration across VM, product, and marketing touchpoints to deliver a premium and consistent brand experience.
- Lead the development of a scalable framework for in‑store special projects (e.g., activations, partnerships, seasonal moments), ensuring they are strategically aligned, operationally executable, and capable of delivering differentiated brand experiences in key markets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or postsecondary education in a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in retail brand marketing, in‑store marketing, visual merchandising, or integrated retail experience leadership.
- Proven experience leading teams and influencing cross‑functional partners at a senior level.
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate brand vision into retail programs.
- Ability to manage complex projects across multiple markets with speed and precision.
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is CAD $126,000 – CAD $165,000.
Total Rewards
Most new team members join between the start and midpoint of the range, where you can contribute right away while continuing to grow your craft, collaborations, and impact at Arc’teryx. This range reflects market alignment and the scope of the role. Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility.
