Job type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Wage range: $38.00-$48.00/hour, depending on individual education, qualifications, and experience.

Reports to: Owner/CEO Lead complex projects that create lasting impact for communities across Western Canada.

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead, deliver, and oversee complex projects and client engagements, providing project-based leadership and coordination to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and other team members along the way. As Senior Project Manager, you'll be accountable for high-quality project delivery, strong client relationships, and supporting team members in achieving project outcomes, acting as a senior practitioner and engagement lead rather than a functional manager of the project management team.

Project

Leadership & Delivery

Lead and oversee complex or high-risk projects through all phases of the project lifecycle

Provide senior oversight of project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and change management

Ensure projects meet contractual obligations, quality standards, and client expectations

Act as a senior representative of the organization with clients, funders, and key interest holders

Review and approve core project documentation, including charters, work plans, schedules, and budgets Team Leadership & Engagement-Based Supervision

Provide project-based direction, coordination, and support to Project Managers and Project Coordinators

Clarify roles, deliverables, timelines, and expectations within specific projects

Offer mentorship, coaching, and technical guidance to support successful project execution

Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable project team environment Financial, Operational & Organizational Support

Oversee project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, invoicing, and reporting

Review and approve project timesheets and invoices in accordance with internal controls

Lead proposal development,

Support continuous improvement of project management tools, templates, and practices We’re Looking for Someone Who…

You lead with both structure and empathy, equally comfortable managing a budget, navigating a complex partnership, and coaching a project team through a tight deadline. You'll likely be successful if you have:

7–10 years of progressive experience in project management, change management, co-management, and/or co-governance, ideally within consulting, community development, government, or Indigenous partnerships

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, Project Management, Communications, Human Resources, Community Development, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Biology, Indigenous Studies, Political Science, Social Sciences, or another relevant discipline. An equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, and progressively responsible experience will be considered.

Demonstrated experience building partnerships with Indigenous businesses, community members, governments, and organizations

In-depth knowledge of the history and current context of Indigenous groups in British Columbia and other Canadian jurisdictions A PMP certification or equivalent designation

Strong facilitation, negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills Experience delivering Natural Resource Management projects, such as land use planning, stewardship planning, or sustainability strategies for mining, tourism, fisheries, or forestry, is considered a strong asset, as is experience in the social and economic development sectors.

Most work can be completed from our Creston office, your home office, or a hybrid arrangement. Occasional travel to client sites, partner locations, or regional offices (approximately 10–25%) may be required.
