About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Software Engineer – Python & AWS Services to join an innovative engineering team focused on next-generation Contact Centre and Generative AI solutions. This role offers the opportunity to build cloud-native applications, leverage AI technologies, and contribute to enterprise-scale platforms supporting operations across Canada, the US, and Asia.

The ideal candidate is an experienced full-stack engineer with a strong background in AWS, Python, and modern software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications using AWS services.
- Build and maintain backend services using Python and Java.
- Develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda, APIs, and other AWS technologies.
- Design and implement Generative AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and architecture teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, data models, APIs, and system integrations.
- Drive cloud adoption, software engineering best practices, and DevOps initiatives.
- Contribute to reusable engineering frameworks and global development standards.
- Participate in application design, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve application performance and scalability.
- Work effectively with global teams across multiple time zones.




- Participate in occasional after-hours or weekend support during project implementations.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience building large-scale, distributed applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Expertise in:
- Python
- AWS Lambda
- REST APIs
- Java
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including:
- Bitbucket
- Jenkins
- Ansible
- Continuous Delivery/Deployment
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
- Passion for learning and adopting emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building Generative AI applications.
- Experience within Contact Centre technologies or customer experience platforms.
- Familiarity with contemporary cloud-native architectures and microservices.
- Eligibility for Government of Canada Reliability Status Clearance is considered a strong asset.
