General Labour Assembly Worker

Day Shift: 5 am to 5 pm Friday, Saturday Sunday

Location: Tomken Road and Eglinton Avenue, Mississauga

CONTRACT from Aug 1st to December $25.23 / hr. plus weekend premium plus $1000.00 bonus for perfect attendance (no lates, no missing days, no excuses)

Responsibilities:

- Assemble large garage doors using hand and powered tools
- Follow blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets

Requirements:

- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in using hand and powered tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Steel-toe safety boots required; additional PPE will be provided

Work Workplace:

- Indoor, fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Assist in the assembly of components using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment
- Operate forklifts safely to move materials within the warehouse or production area
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment issues




- Support the setup and changeover of manufacturing lines or assembly stations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to adhere to safety standards
- Handle warehouse tasks such as loading, unloading, and inventory management
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals efficiently

Qualifications

- Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse operations is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical concepts
- Warehouse experience, including forklift operation, is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge or background in manufacturing processes is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Basic understanding of safety procedures related to manufacturing environments
