Optiom Inc., powered by Aviva, is looking for a Senior Underwriter focused on vehicle protection in Calgary, Alberta. This hybrid position emphasizes multifaceted risk management in an expanding specialty market. In this role, you will utilize your extensive underwriting experience to oversee risk for a suite of vehicle protection products.

With more than 10 years of advanced experience, you will work closely with the VP of Underwriting to shape underwriting standards at Optiom. You will mentor junior staff and enhance workflows that directly impact the growth of the business. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct risk assessment on various vehicle protection offerings
- Support relationships with automotive dealers and F&I; managers




- Provide mentorship to junior underwriting personnel
- Engage in Lloyd’s open market placements
- Assist in developing Lloyd’s binder agreements Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years in property & casualty underwriting
- Proven experience with dealership-related vehicle risks
- History of exercising in-house underwriting authority
- Direct experience with Lloyd's market placements
- Chartered Insurance Skilled (CIP) designation Leverage your underwriting experience to drive growth at Optiom Inc. in Calgary.
