We are seeking an energetic and friendly Server/Bartender to join our vibrant team at La Gare in Shediac! In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, creating memorable experiences for our guests through exceptional service and a lively atmosphere. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will help ensure every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu options with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using a POS (Point of Sale) system such as Touchbistro.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings to assist guests effectively.
- Ensure the bar area is stocked, clean, and organized at all times.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, promptly addressing any concerns or special requests.
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe dining environment
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or food service environments with strong serving skills
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Touchbistro for order processing
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tables or orders simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and bill splitting
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced hospitality setting while maintaining attention to detail
