Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient handling of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring products are properly received, stored, and dispatched. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, order fulfillment, and equipment operation will help maintain seamless warehouse distribution operations.

Duties

- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and accurately picking orders with precision using order pickers and other tools.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements within AS400 or similar warehouse systems, ensuring real-time data updates.
- Coordinate with warehouse distribution teams to organize storage locations efficiently and optimize space utilization.
- Ensure all shipments comply with safety standards, packaging requirements, and company policies for quality control.




- Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment activities to support continuous warehouse operations.
- Support e-commerce order fulfillment processes by quickly processing online orders for timely delivery.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking, and load & unload procedures.
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating reach trucks or similar equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and MRP software for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and best practices for safety and efficiency.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Experience working with packaging materials to prepare shipments that meet quality standards.
- Ability to operate order pickers and other warehouse equipment confidently and safely.
