The Shipping & Customer Service Representative provides assistance to the Warranty & Customer Service Department assisting with administrative responsibilities relating to the processing of warranty repairs and customer service, such as entry of RMAs and preparation of returns, and interacting with customers by phone or email on an occasional basis. This role will support other departments throughout the year.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive returned product for warranty
- Cross reference RMA paperwork and record in online system and confirm that the items received are consistent with the RMA
- Email customer to confirm receipt
- Prepare invoices for warranty work, replacement parts, etc.
- Prepare items for shipment to customer
- Close out warranty work order in online system
- Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information internally
- Assist with the overflow of telephone and email enquiries on an occasional
- Assist with data entry to compile Warranty statistics and preparation of reports
- Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.
- Follow department safety rules and operating procedures.
- Responsible for supporting and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Assist other departments as required
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of post secondary program in administration or prior administrative experience
- Intermediate computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) required; experience with and ERP and RMA software a definite asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Good interpersonal skills required; customer service skills
