Role Description The Site Supervisor — Multiplex Construction is a full time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON. This position oversees day-to-day construction activities on multiplex projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with drawings, specifications, and building codes.

The Site

Supervisor coordinates trades and suppliers, manages site logistics, and conducts regular site inspections to monitor quality, safety, and progress. The role includes maintaining detailed site documentation, reporting issues and updates to project management, and supporting problem-solving for construction challenges.

Supervisor also helps enforce safety policies, conducts toolbox talks, and fosters clear communication among workers, contractors, and stakeholders on site.

Qualifications





- Strong supervisory skills with experience leading site teams and coordinating multiple trades on active construction projects.
- Proficiency in site supervision, including scheduling, site logistics, and enforcing adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with workers, contractors, inspectors, and project managers, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience performing inspections to verify quality of work, code compliance, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Knowledge of construction safety practices, regulations, and procedures, with a track record of promoting a protected work environment.
- Familiarity with low-rise and multiplex residential construction, including structural, mechanical, and finishing stages.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, and technical documentation.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond to site issues promptly and effectively.
- Proficiency with basic computer tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, construction management software) for reporting and documentation.
- Relevant construction certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights, Occupational Health and Safety) are an asset.
- Several years of experience in a site supervision or related construction role; a technical diploma or trade background in construction is considered beneficial.
