- About Kanto Audio
At Kanto, we believe great sound should feel approachable.
Since 2007, we've designed speakers, turntables, and audio accessories that bring people and sound together. We create thoughtfully crafted audio products that blend high-fidelity performance with modern design, making it easier for more people to enjoy music, movies, and everything in between.
Earlier this year, we launched a refreshed visual identity and product lineup, marking the next chapter of the Kanto brand. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a creative student with a creator mindset who wants to help shape how we show up online.
The Opportunity
Kanto Audio is seeking a Social Media & Content Intern for a paid, 12-week Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) placement running from August to November 2026. This position offers approximately 25–40 hours per week. Reporting to the Brand Specialist and working closely with our Marketing and Creative teams, you'll create content that brings our products, brand, and personality to life across Instagram, TikTok, and other digital platforms.
You'll have the freedom to experiment, test ideas, and learn what makes people stop scrolling—all while gaining hands-on experience inside a growing consumer electronics brand. Our office is located in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver—a design and engineering space with a listening room, workshop, testing area, open office, and a view over Jonathan Rogers Park. It's where we develop products, debate the little details, listen to music, test ideas, and occasionally realize we probably should have posted more Stories.
Throughout the placement, you'll receive mentorship, regular feedback, and the opportunity to contribute to real campaigns and product launches while building practical skills in content creation, social media strategy, and brand storytelling. We're looking for someone with curiosity,
initiative, and a creator mindset—someone who lives and breathes internet culture, spots trends before everyone else, and knows how to turn a easy product feature into something people actually want to watch. If we occasionally have to rein in your ideas—not coax them out of you—you'll probably fit right in.
What You'll Do
Create engaging short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, and other digital channels.
Pitch, plan, film, edit, and publish content from concept through execution.
Help manage our content calendar and keep our channels fresh, timely, and engaging.
Identify emerging trends, creators, and cultural moments that align with the Kanto brand.
Capture behind-the-scenes content around the office, product shoots, launches, events, and everyday life at Kanto.
Monitor content performance and share insights to help shape future content.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Creative teams to support campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives.
Bring new ideas to the table—even the weird ones.
