Position Summary
Provide clinical assessment and evidence-based treatment for adolescents and young adults with first episode psychosis (NAVIGATE).
In partnership with clients and families/significant others and treatment team, develop, implement and evaluate overall treatment goals
Educate and support families/significant others
Consult with community agencies to maintain coordination in the client’s treatment process
Case management
Qualifications
M.S.W. from an accredited Faculty of Social Work
Member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service workers (OCSWSSW)
Registered Social Worker (RSW)
Minimum three years post graduate experience working with adolescents and young adults experiencing first episode psychosis
Knowledge of the NAVIGATE model an asset
Experience working individually and in groups
Experience in providing wide range of treatment services and approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy, and psycho-educational groups for adolescents and young adults
Thorough knowledge of adolescent development, family dynamics and systems
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills combined with the ability to work independently as well as part of an inter-professional team
Excellent assessment and documentation skills
Positive work and attendance record
