Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join Autism Day Program. The ideal candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations. Experience in hospital environments, acute care, pediatrics, and case management is highly valued. The position involves providing patient-centered care with a focus on evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

- Assess patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing functions through comprehensive evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
- Implement therapy techniques to improve speech and language skills, including articulation, language comprehension, and social communication.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans.
- Document patient assessments, treatment sessions,



and progress notes accurately in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to support communication development or rehabilitation at home.
- Maintain current knowledge of medical terminology and advancements in speech-language pathology practices.
- In person centre position, Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm

Qualifications

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Must be enrolled with College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO
- Prior experience in working with children and teenagers with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings.
- Proven skills in case management and patient care coordination.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
