Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join Autism Day Program. The ideal candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' communication abilities and overall quality of life within a dynamic clinical setting.

Experience in hospital environments, acute care, pediatrics, and case management is highly valued. The position involves providing patient-centered care with a focus on evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

- Assess patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing functions through comprehensive evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
- Implement therapy techniques to improve speech and language skills, including articulation, language comprehension, and social communication.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans.
- Document patient assessments, treatment sessions,



and progress notes accurately in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to support communication development or rehabilitation at home.
- Maintain current knowledge of medical terminology and advancements in speech-language pathology practices.
- In person centre position, Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm

Qualifications

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Must be enrolled with College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO
- Prior experience in working with children and teenagers with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings.
- Proven skills in case management and patient care coordination.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches based on individual patient needs and clinical observations. This position provides an enriching chance for licensed Speech Language Pathologists committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive clinical environment.
