As a senior geotechnical engineer,



you will have the opportunity to: Support the design, analysis, and construction of all types of infrastructure projects across Canada spanning from transportation, commercial/industrial developments, water and wastewater, transmission and oil & gas.

Lead complex analysis using state of the practice software. Manage and coordinate geotechnical‑focused and multidisciplinary project teams, commensurate with your experience and capabilities. Mentor colleagues across a breadth of experience fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while building solid, productive relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry partners. Work closely with staff to perform geotechnical engineering analyses and design; and prepare geotechnical reports addressing issues such as site preparation, ground improvement options, shallow and deep foundation design, settlement, slope stability, seismic hazards, and other related project considerations. Drive innovation by leading or contributing to digitization initiatives, advancing state of practice analyses, market research, and the development of emerging technologies, with a focus on climate change adaptation, risk, and liability reduction.

Bachelor’s degree in Geological, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s or PhD an asset).



~ Experience with geotechnical software solutions (GeoStudio™, LeapFrog, Rocscience, LPile, Settle 3D). ~ Familiar with local bylaws and design codes (e.g., Strong client, sub‑consultant, and contractor management experience. ~ Liquefaction assessments and site‑specific response analysis. ~ Excellent organizational ability, report writing, and verbal communication. ~ Experience in supervision, guidance, development, and mentoring of junior staff. ~ Previous experience working in an engineering consulting environment. ~ Previous project management experience is highly desirable. ~ Experience with Alternative Project Delivery methods (e.g., Design‑Build) would be an asset. ~ Starting as a one‑person firm in Edmonton, we’ve grown to a company of 32,000 employees worldwide. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
