Title : Senior Structural Engineer (Project Manager / Technical Lead) Location: Peterborough, ON Duration : Full time Overview We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the analysis and design of concrete and steel structures for hydroelectric, water resource, and environmental projects. This role will serve as a Project Manager and/or Technical Lead, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, managing client relationships, and supporting projects from design through construction.
Responsibilities Lead structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures. Manage project scope, schedules, and deliverables. Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Provide technical leadership and mentor junior staff. Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Support projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
Qualifications ~ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus. ~ Skilled Engineer (P.Eng. or PE) designation. ~10+ years of structural engineering experience. ~ Experience with hydroelectric, water resource, or similar infrastructure projects preferred. ~ Proficiency with SAP2000, RISA-3D, Revit, AutoCAD, and/or MathCAD. ~ Strong knowledge of structural design codes and standards. ~ Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing multiple projects. ~ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience with seismic design, finite element modeling, and regulatory/permitting processes. Field and construction support experience.
