Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in earth sciences, physics, geology or some other science relevant to the position.

Significant experience conducting laboratory or field work studies supporting mining or oil and gas projects in Canada.

Experience compiling, analyzing or interpreting geoscientific data.

Knowledge of seismic instrumentation and monitoring techniques and principals.

Knowledge of data and signal processing and analysis techniques.

Knowledge of geomechanical laboratory testing methods and procedures.

Working under minimal supervision

Ability to organize field or laboratory data.





Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

Language requirements (essential for the job) Asset Education

Graduation with a master’s (or PhD) degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a scientific or engineering field with specialities related to the duties of the position.

Asset Experience

Experience working with micro-seismic data.

Experience working in a geological or civil engineering testing laboratory.

Experience using MATLAB (or equivalent) software.
