Job Title:

Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist

Location:

Toronto, ON/Hybrid - one day a week in office

CAD $65 - $70 per hour

Must have:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7+ years of experience in Information Technology with a strong focus on web-based applications, QA automation, and performance testing, including 3+ years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Expert-level hands-on experience with Apache JMeter, including distributed testing, custom plugins, and BeanShell/Groovy scripting.
- Strong experience designing and executing load, stress, endurance, failover, and performance testing for enterprise-scale applications.
- Experience troubleshooting performance issues using APM tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Current Relic, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), microservices architecture, caching technologies (Redis/Memcached), and load balancers.
- Advanced experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including query optimization and performance analysis under high-load environments.
- Ability to read and understand backend code written in Java, Python, Go, or .NET to assist with debugging and root cause analysis.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks for UI, API, and web service testing.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Iterative, Integration, Regression, System,



and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management, traceability, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Design, architect, and maintain scalable, reusable JMeter performance testing frameworks for complex enterprise applications.
- Develop and execute advanced load, stress, endurance, failover, integration, regression, and performance test scenarios that accurately simulate production workloads.
- Analyze applicatiaon performance to identify bottlenecks, memory leaks, thread contention, database issues, and infrastructure-related performance constraints.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps engineers, and project teams to recommend infrastructure improvements and application performance optimizations.
- Integrate non-functional and performance testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous performance validation.
- Develop comprehensive Master Test Plans, Test Cases, SQL validation scripts, Requirements Traceability Matrices, and QA Test Summary Reports.
- Perform manual validation, complex SQL testing, ETL data validation,



and backend verification to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute testing activities across GUI and non-GUI applications, including System Integration Testing (SIT), Performance Testing, Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage test cases, execution, defects, and testing artifacts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor junior and intermediate QA professionals by promoting QA best practices, performance testing standards, and automation strategies.
- Communicate testing strategies, risks, defects, and quality metrics effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, technical teams, and clinical leads.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing performance testing frameworks, automation processes, and overall software quality in Agile delivery environments.
