Looking for an AI-focussed project management role where success isn't just measured by product launches? Some Technical PM roles deliver software; this one helps deliver the future of healthcare.

Technology is changing healthcare faster than ever, and the challenge isn't finding great ideas—it's bringing together the people, funding, and technical expertise to turn those ideas into solutions that make a difference. As part of their ongoing work at the cutting-edge of digital health innovation, PHC Ventures is now hiring a permanent, full-time Technical Project Manager to help lead a portfolio of innovative projects spanning biobanks, artificial intelligence, research computing, cloud infrastructure, and health data. Working alongside software engineers, data scientists, researchers, clinicians, and industry partners, you'll coordinate complex technical initiatives that improve how research is conducted and how healthcare data is leveraged to accelerate innovation in patient care.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology, research, and healthcare innovation—supporting projects that strengthen AI capabilities, modernize research infrastructure, and enable world-class clinical care while helping shape the future of digital health in BC.

Please note this is a primarily on-site position, with some occasional flexibility for hybrid work at manager's discretion.

Leading complex technical projects: Coordinating multiple concurrent AI, cloud computing, health data, and research infrastructure initiatives from planning through delivery, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with funding and organizational objectives.

Connecting technical and business teams: Acting as the bridge between software engineers, researchers, clinicians, health informatics teams, and external partners to coordinate workstreams, manage risks, and keep stakeholders aligned.

Driving governance and project operations: Managing project plans, financial tracking, documentation, funding reporting, audit requirements, and governance processes to support large federally funded innovation initiatives.

Helping deliver technical platforms and infrastructure that enable cutting-edge research, AI capabilities, and digital health solutions that improve healthcare across BC and beyond.

Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus seven (7) to ten (10) years' recent, related experience that includes successfully managing significant large projects or initiatives, and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.

Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies and ability to coach staff on these skills.

Ability to utilize initiative, vision, independent thinking and creative problem-solving abilities to implement project plans and realize project completion.

Broad knowledge of health care delivery systems in primary, acute, residential and community settings.

Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, tactics, and problem solving and root cause analysis skills.

Maintains a thorough understanding of available resources for projects and applicable stakeholder groups, provides feedback and detailed analysis on project processes and makes recommendations as required.

Uses sound business acumen to manage the fiscal resources of assigned projects/services in a manner that is financially responsible and consistent with overall goals of the organization.
