Role Description The Telecommunications Rigger is a full-time, on-site role based in Ontario, Canada, responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading telecommunications equipment on towers, rooftops, and other structures. Day-to-day tasks include climbing and working at heights, assembling and mounting antennas, dishes, and related hardware, and routing and securing cables according to technical specifications and safety standards. The role involves reading and interpreting installation drawings, performing basic testing of equipment, and assisting with network rollout and upgrade activities, including 5G and LTE deployments.

Rigger will also complete job documentation, support site audits,
collaborate with technicians and engineers, and ensure all work complies with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
Ability to safely work at heights, including tower and rooftop climbing, with knowledge of fall protection systems and rigging practices.
Experience installing and aligning antennas, dishes, and related telecommunications hardware, including cable routing and terminations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, site plans, and installation specifications, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic understanding of telecommunications systems, including LTE, 5G, and RF concepts, and familiarity with test equipment (e.g., multimeters, basic RF test tools).
Strong commitment to health and safety, including adherence to provincial regulations, company safety policies, and use of personal protective equipment.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions, coordinate with field crews, and interact professionally with clients.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reach various sites across Ontario; willingness to travel and work in varying weather conditions.
Previous experience in telecommunications rigging, construction, or related trades is an asset; relevant certifications (e.g., tower climbing, first aid/CPR) are beneficial.
