As the City Solicitor, you will play a vital role within the Executive Leadership Team. Your responsibilities will encompass providing strategic guidance on complex municipal matters while overseeing legal services, litigation, and claims management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic legal advice on municipal governance and procurement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to City Council and senior leadership
- Manage litigation, contract negotiations,



and legal service delivery
- Oversee City representation in courts and regulatory bodies
- Lead and manage the Legal Services Division effectively

Requirements:

- Law degree (LLB or JD) and bar admission in Ontario
- Ten years of progressive legal experience
- Knowledge of municipal government legislation and standards
- Expertise in administrative law principles
- Proven leadership in public sector law environments
