Reporting to the Manager of Tailings Water & Setting, this senior position requires a proactive approach to managing environmental compliance and risk. You will build strong relationships with Indigenous communities and regulators, facilitating conversations and efforts aligned with Agnico Eagle's sustainability goals.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping environmental management practices on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage environmental risks and compliance on-site
- Lead community engagement and outreach plans
- Implement and oversee environmental monitoring programs
- Provide strategic guidance to various teams
- Resolve community grievances and build trust
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in environmental science or management
- 10-15 years in environmental management or community affairs
- Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems
- Proven ability in conflict resolution and communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy
