Be at the forefront of community health care as a Nurse in Charge with Indigenous Services Canada in Chateh, Alberta. This full time role focuses on nursing leadership and public health initiatives in remote areas.
As a Nurse in Charge, you will lead nursing care for First Nations communities while utilizing advanced nursing knowledge and skills. This position requires a strong background in Public Health Nursing, enabling you to provide both direct care and supportive leadership.
Your clinical expertise will be key in facilitating health promotion and managing a comprehensive nursing service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead nursing services within isolated First Nations communities
- Provide critical nursing knowledge and clinical expertise
- Facilitate community health initiatives and disease prevention
- Mentor and train nurses to enhance service delivery
- Conduct health assessments and program evaluations
Requirements:
- RN registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
- Experience in leadership roles within nursing
- Significant public health nursing background
- Valid Alberta driver’s license for community access
- Willingness to travel to remote locations for service
