GSK is looking to hire a Therapeutic Specialist, Hepatology to join our Specialty Care & Innovation Business Unit. This field‑based role covers Ontario up to Ottawa and reports directly to the Hepatology National Sales Manager. The ideal candidate must reside within the responsible territory to ensure effective local engagement and coverage.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic business plans tailored to the territory, setting and achieving short‑ and long‑term goals.
- Build trust‑based relationships with healthcare professionals, hospital and clinic decision‑makers, and allied stakeholders to optimize patient outcomes.
- Design and drive customer‑focused initiatives to build GSK advocacy, accelerate launch uptake, and grow the portfolio.
- Engage in meaningful scientific discussions to ensure optimal use of Hepatology medicines.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional colleagues to develop and execute programs that improve patient care and align with brand strategies.
- Navigate territorial challenges effectively and use business acumen to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Prepare and manage territory budgets with accountability for resource allocation.
- Conduct impactful daily customer calls to drive measurable contributions to patient access and market growth.
- Execute field programs such as Lunch & Learns, scientific engagements, and other educational initiatives.
- Ensure all activities comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements while acting with integrity.
- Manage complex multi‑stakeholder Hepatology environments, balancing immediate patient needs with long‑term growth objectives.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in Hepatology or proven success launching products in competitive markets.
- Solid working knowledge of scientific research study interpretation and functional data analysis techniques.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with healthcare professionals, physicians, and hospital stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a network of healthcare stakeholders and access to physician networks.
- Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills with exposure to cross‑functional teams (medical, marketing, government affairs).
- Self‑starter with the ability to work autonomously and drive business growth.
- Results‑oriented with the ability to proactively identify opportunities and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
- High learning agility and adaptability in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within a large geography while optimizing travel efficiency.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for company vehicle eligibility).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of the healthcare landscape, including local market dynamics and provider networks within the territory.
- Experience working with Hepatology centers.
- Eligibility for a company‑leased vehicle, subject to driver verification and safe driver program requirements.

Compensation
Annual compensation ranges from CAD 104,000 to CAD 154,000, determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
