Company Description Calgary Villains FC (CVFC) is a National Youth Licensed, not-for-profit soccer club governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and rooted in a long-standing passion for the game since 1981. The club is dedicated to delivering top-tier player development from grassroots to Pro-Am for as many players as possible, for as long as possible. CVFC is led by a highly qualified coaching staff, including a Uefa Pro & Uefa Super Elite Youth license, multiple Concacaf A,B and C Licensed coaches, supported by a long-serving Sporting Director.

Players and staff benefit from excellent infrastructure, such as the FIFA Turf 11v11 Villains Dome, a high-performance Training Centre, and a fully integrated Clubhouse. The environment includes strength and conditioning spaces, on-site physio and recovery areas, and the capacity to train multiple teams simultaneously, creating a professional setting focused on serious development.

Role Description: The U9–U12 Performance Staff role is a 30-hour-a-week soccer role based in Calgary, AB. The role focuses on planning, delivering, and evaluating age-appropriate training sessions that align with CVFC’s player development philosophy for U9–U12 athletes. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring individual and team performance, collecting and interpreting training and match data,



and coordinating with coaching and support staff to refine development plans.

The position involves active communication with players and families, maintaining training standards, supporting match-day operations, and contributing to a positive, protected, and inclusive environment. The U9–U12 Performance Staff member will also participate in ongoing coach education, assist with club events and camps, and help integrate performance and recovery protocols into daily training.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Data Analysis capabilities to assess player and team performance and inform development decisions.

Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with staff, engage players, and provide clear feedback to families.

Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., provincial or national youth coaching licenses) and experience working with U9–U12 athletes in a competitive environment are highly beneficial.

Knowledge of long-term player development models, basic sport science principles, and safeguarding practices, along with the ability to foster an inclusive, growth-focused culture, is strongly preferred.

Candidates should have a Concacaf Children's License or be willing to pursue it.
