K&K; Insurance Canada Is Looking For an Underwriting Assistant The position supports a team that is driven everyday to think bigger and do better for our customers, and achieve desired results.
Your role is to learn and grow, to develop as a valued member of the team, and work toward an underwriting career path. Reporting directly into the Underwriting Director, this technical position is a key part of the K&K; team.
Your Impact As An Underwriting Assistant Job Responsibilities: Service a book of business under supervision of the Underwriter and Underwriting Director
Log applications, process commercial insurance policies, endorsements, renewals.
Maintain electronic client files and abeyance files for outstanding underwriting information
Assist with preparation of quotes and binders
Assist with preparation of accounting spreadsheets, account reconciliation & broker invoicing.
Education & Experience: Post-Secondary degree/diploma
2 years of Commercial and/or Specialty Insurance experience is required
Must be technologically savvy and data-driven, including proficiency in Excel
CIP courses or designation an asset but not required to begin role
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses and certifications.
Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure;
Must have robust computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.
This role will requires no travel.
