The Role The

Warehouse - Receiver is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, inspection, and storage of raw materials, packaging materials, ingredients, and other inbound shipments. This role ensures all incoming goods are verified, documented, and stored correctly to support production while maintaining inventory accuracy, food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

Who You Are Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Receiver is responsible for unloading incoming deliveries, verifying shipments, completing receiving documentation, and safely storing inventory within the warehouse. This position works closely with Warehouse, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and Production teams to ensure materials are received accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Safely unload incoming deliveries using forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Receive and inspect raw materials, packaging materials, ingredients, and other inbound shipments.

Verify quantities, lot numbers, product codes, and condition of materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.

Report damaged, missing,



or incorrect shipments to the appropriate departments.

Accurately complete receiving documentation and system transactions.

Label and store materials in designated warehouse locations following inventory control procedures.

Rotate inventory using FEFO (First Expired, First Out) or other established inventory practices.

Supply production departments with required materials as needed.

Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.

Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues promptly.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse workplace.

Follow all food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and workplace health and safety requirements.

Assist with general warehouse duties and continuous improvement initiatives as required.

Qualifications Previous warehouse, receiving, shipping, or manufacturing experience is considered an asset.

Valid forklift certification is an asset; training may be provided.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Ability to interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.

Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems are considered an asset.

Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the shift.

Flexibility to work overtime or varying shifts as operational requirements dictate.
