We are currently seeking a skilled and certified welder to join our team, with a focus on remote and on-the-road work.

Job Summary: As a Certified Welder with CWB tickets at GSN Welding & Millwright Inc., you will be responsible for performing welding tasks at different job sites. This role involves interpreting blueprints, preparing materials, executing high-quality welds, and ensuring that all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations. Flexibility and readiness to travel to various locations are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Welding Operations: Execute welding tasks on a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, utilizing MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques at multiple job sites.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements and specifications.
- Preparation: Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting parts to ensure proper alignment and fit.
- Quality Control: Inspect welds and finished products for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications. Perform necessary tests to confirm weld integrity.




- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Travel: Travel to various job sites as required. Maintain flexibility to accommodate the needs of different locations and project schedules.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered. Complete travel and expense reports as needed.

Qualifications:

- Certification: Valid CWB tickets in relevant welding processes (e.g., CWB Level 1/2/3 certification for MIG/TIG/Stick welding).
- Experience: Proven experience as a welder with a solid track record in various welding environments. Experience in [specific industry or type of welding] is an advantage.
- Skills: Proficiency in welding techniques and equipment. Strong understanding of welding safety practices and quality standards.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various positions, and endure exposure to welding fumes and high temperatures.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant vocational training or apprenticeships are advantageous.
- Additional Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid driver’s license is required.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour
