About the Position

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and customer-focused Storage Facility Customer Service Representative / Site Attendant to oversee the daily operations of a growing self-storage facility in Peterborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for customer service, facility operations, unit rentals, site inspections, collections, and maintaining a clean, safe, and secure property.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, interacting with customers, and taking ownership of day-to-day operations.

$19.50–$20.50 per hour starting, based on experience.

Responsibilities

- Assist customers with unit rentals, move-ins, and move-outs
- Answer phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries
- Process payments and maintain accurate records
- Conduct regular site inspections and security checks
- Monitor facility access and ensure compliance with facility policies
- Coordinate basic maintenance and repairs as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the property
- Manage delinquent accounts and collections procedures
- Assist with marketing and customer retention initiatives
- Prepare reports and perform general administrative duties
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times
- Light facility upkeep,



including office cleaning, mopping, dusting, and property checks. Ability to assist with occasional grass cutting is an asset, but not required.

Qualifications

- Previous customer service experience required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Basic computer proficiency, including email and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform outdoor inspections

Preferred Qualifications

- Self-storage experience
- Sales or retail management experience
- Administrative experience
