Join our client's team as an experienced API Developer, focusing on Java, SpringBoot, and RESTful APIs. This remote position will drive the design and development of scalable microservices for banking applications.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Java and SpringBoot, contributing to high-performance backend services. You'll ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of critical applications while adhering to industry standards. This is a six-month contract role beginning ASAP, fully remote within Canada.

Key Responsibilities: • Design microservices using Java 8/17 and SpringBoot • Build RESTful APIs with Spring MVC/REST • Implement Spring Cloud components like Eureka and Zuul • Work with JPA/Hibernate for database transactions • Develop caching strategies using Redis or Ehcache

Requirements: • Strong experience with Java and SpringBoot • Familiarity with microservices architecture • Basic knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD pipelines • Understanding of OpenShift/Kubernetes concepts • Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
