Role Responsibilities

The Judicial Orders Production Clerk supports court operations by accurately interpreting legal documents, maintaining court and financial records, updating the JOIN system, and preparing court orders in accordance with legislation. This role also provides essential administrative and operational support to help ensure court processes are completed efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner. Working in a high-impact environment, the incumbent must interpret court endorsements and legal documents with precision, enter information accurately into court systems, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and professionalism when supporting court operations and responding to internal and external stakeholders. Duties include but are not limited to:

Accounting

- Processes bail refunds, payment refunds, and other financial transactions
- Enters financial information accurately in accordance with guidelines and directives
- Provides administrative support through data entry, document production, and related tasks

Data Entry & Document Production

- Enters, updates, and retrieves information within court management systems
- Produces legal documents and court orders accurately and within tight timelines
- Ensures documentation complies with legislation, policy, and court rules
- Maintains a high standard of accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Administrative

- Maintains and retrieves active and closed court files
- Assists with certificates, pardon applications, and court document requests
- Supports records management and stakeholder communication





This role requires excellent keyboarding skills and a high degree of accuracy when entering and verifying data and processing documentation. Because this work directly supports court operations and public services, precision is essential to help ensure lawful outcomes, maintain service integrity, and uphold public confidence in the justice system. Overtime with short notice may be required to meet operational demands and service timelines.

Qualifications

- Highschool Diploma and a minimum of two years of related administrative experience

Equivalencies will be considered based on 1 year of experience for 1 year of education or 1 year of education for 1 year of experience

Assets:

- Working knowledge of the Judicial System; criminal code, criminal legislation, and provincial/municipal acts and regulations.
- Experience using applications such as, ORCA, JOIN, and MOVES.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and handle high volumes of complex work.
- Diploma in Criminology or Paralegal studies considered an asset.

- This is a 12-month, temporary, full-time position, with an anticipated end date of April 2027.
